WHere is a home-style version of a cocktail from our latest cocktail list. This is a large-volume pre-mixed which is loaded with flavours of the Christmas time, making it ideal for a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup to use in breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to make more rounds of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed items inside a pan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. After that, take off the burner allowing it to cool entirely. Transfer into a sterilised bottle, close it and store in the fridge, it can be stored for up to one month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquid ingredients in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base into your cocktail shaker filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for a minute to chill. Pour to a cold coupe glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the drink.
